Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completed secondary education
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a shipper or receiver within a logistics environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be flexible to accommodate assigned shifts based on operational needs; the length of shifts varies according to events taking place at Canadian Blood Services’ fixed and mobile donor centers
- The candidates should be available for shifts that include days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
- The candidates should be able to lift weights of up to 50 lbs and push carts weighing up to 300 lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have preferably in warehouse and inventory distribution and possess technical skills, including proficiency in the Windows operating system, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The candidates should have operating knowledge of warehouse inventory software, with preference for SAP experience
- The candidates should have working experience with inventory control processes; knowledge of FIFO and FEFO
- The candidates should have prior experience with online receiving, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to receive, store, and organize consumables inventory items based on their knowledge or experience in a warehouse setting
- The candidates should be able to retrieve and assemble consumables inventory items and distribute consumables inventory orders and finished products orders efficiently
- The candidates should be able to utilize their superior interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with various departments and internal customers
