Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a safety-oriented work ethic, with experience performing labor in an outdoor work environment
- The candidates should be able to follow instructions, rules, and regulations precisely and be able to work effectively as part of a team
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have general equivalency diploma (GED) and possess a valid driver’s license
- The candidates should pass the CPKC Signal Maintainer examination or hold Class 1 qualifications
- The candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills and possess a commercial vehicle and air brake license
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to test and verify the correct operation of Signal and Communications (S&C) systems and equipment within their assigned territory
- The candidates should be able to perform preventive maintenance on all S&C apparatus and be able to make required inspections and tests on each device
- The candidates should be able to repair or replace defective devices and be able to investigate and locate problems or failures, taking appropriate corrective action
- The candidates should be able to plan their work and coordinate with others effectively and ensure sufficient material is available to complete work or repairs without unnecessary delays
- The candidates should be able to install apparatus following circuit drawings and standards
- The candidates should be able to make authorized corrections and modifications to circuits and record the changes on plans
- The candidates should be able to prepare and submit reports, time sheets, and handle general correspondence
- The candidates should be available to work a typical Monday-Friday schedule from 7:00am-3:00pm, with on-call availability
