Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have High School diploma or GED
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 1 year retail management or relevant
experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to stand and/or walk for the full shift and the ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 128 pounds
  • The candidates should have the ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to overhead, and/or 60 pounds from ground to waist level, for up to thirty minutes of the workday
  • The candidates should have the ability to bend at the waist with some twisting, for up to one hour of the workday
  • The candidates should have to climb a ladder and/or stool, kneel, or crouch to store or retrieve materials and/or place or remove signs
  • The candidates should have the ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands all day. This handwork requires eye hand coordination and may require bilateral coordination of hands, for up to four hours of the workday

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate leadership and customer service skills and competencies
  • The candidates should have proven success in developing team members
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to use P and L and store reports to affect change
  • The candidates should have the ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • The candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before customers and employees
  • The candidates should have proficient accounting skills
  • The candidates should have the ability to exercise sound judgment and work with minimum supervision
  • The candidates should have proficient computer knowledge, with Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel)
  • The candidates should have experience with PDI, Verifone

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to maintain positive employee relations and morale by supervising employees and ensuring that Company policies and procedures are being followed and maintained
  • The candidate should be able to effectively train and develop all employees within the facility, supervising training conducted by the Assistant Leader and/or other designee
  • The candidate should be able to determine and adjust rates of pay for employees at the facility in accordance with Company policies to effectively manage labor hours through proper scheduling to ensure efficient operations and to recruit, interview, and hire employees, ensuring that all aspects of the hiring process are completed and that the facility is properly staffed
  • The candidate should be able to ensure that Company policies related to safety & security and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) are administered and followed by all employees at all times and ensure that Company policies and procedures and all laws governing restricted beverage and tobacco sales are followed by all employees
  • The candidate should be able to evaluate and take positive and consistent disciplinary action on violations of Company policies and procedures and to supervise coverage of shifts left vacant due to emergency or lack of personnel and fill them
  • The candidate should be able to resolve employee relations problems and complaints in a timely manner, counsel and document employee performance issues, and process employee terminations
  • The candidate should be able to initiate and document terminations of employees with the approval of the Area Operations Leader and attend unemployment hearings and to prepare and conduct performance reviews for all employees per Company policy and send all status changes to Human Resources
  • The candidate should be able to conduct employee meetings at least once per month or as necessary to communicate store-wide issues and build teamwork among employees
  • The candidate should be able to effectively manage the facility by directing sales promotions, implementing new programs, and communicating with vendors, sales reps, and other appropriate personnel on marketing activities
  • The candidate should be able to order and merchandise all authorized merchandise by complying with inventory guidelines and directing and controlling proper merchandising and follow-through on all sales promotions
  • The candidate should be able to recommend new products, services, and/or procedures to the Area Operations Leader based on customer needs as well as competition
