Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have 6 months experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of constant standing, engaging in frequent walking, and occasionally bending during work
- The candidates should have the ability to lift up to 25 lbs., particularly in the context of handling packaged meats
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and customers
- The candidates should possess basic reading skills, including the ability to interpret daily instruction sheets regarding products to be prepared
- The candidates should be proficient in the use of a knife for various tasks related to food preparation
- The candidates should know how to operate packaging machines, demonstrating competence and understanding in the operation of such equipment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assemble food service items as per standard recipes, portions, and format while maintaining a specified productivity level
- The candidates should be able to slice and weigh meat and cheese products
- The candidates should be able to package and label prepared products and display finished goods for sale
- The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize all equipment and fixture surfaces as per provincial and company/health safety standards
- The candidates should be able to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and follow standard company and provincial regulations pertaining to food safety, dress code, and sanitary procedures
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
