Salary: $29.70 to $34.32 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Barrière, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, To be determined, 08:30 to 16:30
Target audience, Adolescents: Children, Families, Persons with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Persons with an intellectual disability, Persons with learning disabilities, and Persons with mental health disabilities
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Community service organization
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Mental health first aid Certificate, Understanding and managing aggressive behaviour (UMAB) course, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, and First Aid Certificate
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, conduct social research, and develop, coordinate, and implement the delivery of specific services within the community
- The candidates should be able to implement behavior management programs, liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, and assist clients/guests with special needs
- The candidates should be able to accompany clients to appointments and social outings, and manage knowledge
