Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Grade 10
Experience: Candidates should have over six months, up to one year of experience performing cleaning in an office environment and operating heavy-duty cleaning equipment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- The candidates should be able to work variable scheduled shifts, including nights and weekends
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
- The candidates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide quality customer service for all customers, tenants, and end-users of Corporate properties
- The candidates should be able to perform indoor housekeeping activities specific to each location, including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and dry and wet mopping/spray buffing
- The candidates should be able to collect recycling materials and garbage from desk/area recycling bins, replace bags, and dispose of waste as directed
- The candidates should be able to provide disinfection and sanitizing services to washrooms, lobbies, and public counters, including cleaning and inspecting washrooms, replacing supplies, and cleaning glass surfaces
- The candidates should be able to provide immediate outdoor maintenance services, including litter picking, graffiti removal, gum removal, cigarette butt disposal, waste container cleaning and emptying, snow removal, and sanding and salting of walkways
- The candidates should be able to provide scheduled specialty cleaning services as required, operating associated equipment for tasks such as steam cleaning carpets, cleaning elevators, and scrubbing floors
- The candidates should be able to set up and take down tables and chairs for meeting rooms/functions and move furniture
- The candidates should be able to assist in emergencies or fires and be familiar with the fire alarm and intrusion alarm systems
- The candidates should be able to provide minor maintenance monitoring and reporting, including identifying and communicating maintenance or health and safety issues and concerns
- The candidates should be able to maintain all caretaking equipment and tools, reporting any damages or malfunctions immediately to the supervisor and assist the building operator
