We specialize in the handling, repair and management of ISO Containers and we count many of the world’s major container and shipping lines as long standing and valued customers. Our Trailer Shop offers varied inspection and repair services and in conjunction with Provincial Trailer Rentals we have a substantial fleet Tandem & Tridem Chassis available for sale or hire at competitive rates. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate,Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
Welding techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Machinery or equipment repair
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Drug test
Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs), More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail.
- The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads.
- The candidate should be physically demanding.
- The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
- The candidate should be willing to work in a sitting, standing, walking position for extended periods of time.
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be efficient and a good team player.
- The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication and excellent written communication skill.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate must be able to interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
- The candidate should operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC), determine weldability of materials.
- The candidate should operate hoisting and lifting equipment, operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
