Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Candidates should have 6 months of related experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift and move heavy concessions supplies (rarely)
  • The candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods in concession areas (frequently)
  • The candidates should handle normal mental effort
  • The candidates should be capable of normal visual and auditory effort
  • The candidates should be comfortable working in concession areas
  • The candidates should be able to work around hot kitchen equipment (occasionally)
  • The candidates should be willing to work irregular hours

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to cook and prepare concession food
  • The candidates should be proficient in operating concession equipment
  • The candidates should interact with the public in a courteous and tactful manner
  • The candidates should possess a Food Safe Certificate Level 1 (obtained within 1 day)
  • The candidates should be required to obtain criminal record clearance

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare, cook, and serve food items such as hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks, and coffee at Royal Athletic Park concessions
  • The candidates should be able to monitor food quality to ensure customer satisfaction
  • The candidates should be able to clean the food preparation and service areas, including emptying garbage and securing the concession area as required
  • The candidates should be able to operate a cash register, make change accurately, and handle transactions efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to use concession equipment such as a hot dog grill and coffee urn effectively
  • The candidates should be able to stock shelves with supplies such as chocolate bars and chips to ensure availability for customers
