Salary: $15.00 hourly for 64 to 88 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Shifts: To be determined
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant or establishment
Work site environment: Candidates should work in odours, hot, dusty, wet or damp and cold or refrigerated area
Security and safety: Bond required
Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, work under pressure, work overtime, manually dexter, stand for extended periods, pay attention to detail, handle heavy loads and also perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be physically strong and also have hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able for food safety/handling skills
- The candidate should be able to transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials, remove filled containers from conveyors and also manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
- The candidate should be able to feed and unload processing machines, check products and packaging for basic quality defects and also assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- The candidate should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
