Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Word, Electronic mail, MS Excel, MS Windows, Word processing software, Presentation software, MS Outlook

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interview patients to obtain case histories, schedule and confirm appointments, complete insurance and other claim forms
  • The candidates should be able to maintain filing system, perform general clerical work, such as order supplies and maintain inventory, arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  • The candidates should be able to determine and establish office procedures and routines, enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
  • The candidates should be able to initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records, supervise and train other staff in procedures and in use of current software
  • The candidates should be able to send invoices, record and relay information, provide directory assistance
  • The candidates should be able to provide emergency services, provide basic information to clients and the public, perform clerical duties, such as filing and sorting and distributing mail
  • The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs, greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas, calculate billing charges
  • The candidates should be able to answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • The candidates should be able to operate switchboard or telephone system, receive and issue payments
