Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 2 – 3 years of experience in providing financial advice to clients and achieving sales results through advice-based conversations

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be flexible to work Banking Centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced Banking Centre where they’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives
  • The candidates should be able to, as an Associate Financial Services Specialist, form a deep understanding of their personal and small business clients’ needs and recommend simple, personalized solutions to help them achieve their financial goals
  • The candidates should be able to manage, either individually or as part of a team, a portfolio of mortgage clients with a focus on deepening the client relationship
  • The candidates should be able to deliver a great client experience and be flexible to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance
  • The candidates should be able to engage in client meetings to understand their personal and business priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan
  • The candidates should be able to ensure clients’ investment, financial, and credit-related needs are met by providing a comprehensive retail banking offer or by making a formal introduction to the appropriate Imperial Service and Business Banking colleagues
  • The candidates should be able to engage in marketing and outreach activities to show clients they value them and their communities
  • The candidates should be able to grow their network, deepen existing relationships, and work as one team to ensure clients are connected to the right people and opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to create relationships by networking with clients’ families and friends to uncover opportunities and refer to appropriate partners
  • The candidates should be able to call both existing and potential clients to identify opportunities for future growth and revenue
  • The candidates should be able to engage in community and banking centre events such as business development events, client acknowledgment programs, and client appreciation day to create and enhance CIBC presence and gain market share
