Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments and capable of working in dusty conditions
- The candidates should be comfortable working in cold or refrigerated settings and prepared for outdoor work, able to handle wet or damp environments
- The candidates should be adept at handling repetitive tasks, capable of handling heavy loads, and physically fit to meet demanding physical requirements
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity, demonstrate attention to detail, and have good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary, willing to work overtime when required, and able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be equipped with efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate flexibility in their approach to work
- The candidates should exhibit reliability in their tasks and responsibilities and be collaborative, demonstrating the ability to work well in a team
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transport them by hand or forklift truck to the work area, and transport fish and shellfish to the work area
- The candidates should be able to condition fish fillets for wrapping or freezing, weigh fish or shellfish, record weight, and pack fish in ice
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas, measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, and sort fish according to species, weight, and destination
