Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Cattle breeding
Equipment and machinery experience: Loader, Tractor
Automated system experience: Milking system (automated)
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, and be comfortable working outdoors, in wet/damp conditions, and in noisy environments
- The candidates should be able to tolerate odorous working conditions and be comfortable working in dusty environments, in a fast-paced environment, and be prepared for repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, be physically fit for the demands of the role, and have a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods, be prepared for a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to stand for extended periods and capable of walking as part of their duties, as well as perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their work and be strong team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to monitor animal health, feed and tend to animals, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to milk cows, clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, and detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
