Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of post-secondary education in Economics, Public or Business Administration, Commerce, Planning, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline
Experience: Candidates should have experience researching, developing, and analyzing business or policy options
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should expect to work in a typical office environment with the possibility of hybrid remote/office work
- The candidates should be prepared for occasional trips to locations in Whitehorse for client meetings or site visits
- The candidates should anticipate infrequent travel to Yukon communities, which may be required 1-3 times per year for 1-3 days at a time. Travel is normally by automobile or occasionally aircraft
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience, training, or certification in project management or asset management, ideally related to vertical infrastructure
- The candidates should possess strong organizational, research, and analytical skills
- The candidates should have the ability to manage a large workload and respond to changing needs
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to take initiative while working independently and in a team environment
- The candidates should have interpersonal and communication skills to build effective working relationships inside and outside the organization
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to play a key role in the management of almost 600 Yukon government buildings that support a wide range of public services that Yukoners, their families and their communities rely on
- The candidates should be able to work closely with all Yukon government departments to identify and plan for long-term capital needs and develop solutions that maximize the value and lifespan of government buildings
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and be client-focused
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
- The candidates should be able to enjoy working on challenging and dynamic projects
