Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and physically capable of demanding tasks
  • The candidates should have a strong attention to detail, be comfortable standing for extended periods, and capable of handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be dependable, have efficient interpersonal skills, and be flexible
  • The candidates should show initiative, be organized, and be reliable
  • The candidates should be a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory, and analyze operating costs and other data
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff, supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, and create new recipes
  • The candidates should be able to instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, requisition food and kitchen supplies, and arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
  • The candidates should be able to plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
