Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be occasionally required to lift and move office supplies, files, and mail weighing up to 10 lbs., and occasionally weighing 10 to 25 pounds with the use of a trolley to transport
  • The candidates should be occasionally required to bend and stretch to retrieve/return files
  • The candidates should constantly be required to sit and perform fine finger/precision computer-related work in the performance of daily activities
  • The candidates should have Visual concentration for the candidates to transcribe shorthand into appropriate correspondence and enter information into an electronic document control system
  • The candidates should have Auditory concentration for taking dictation and responding to telephone inquiries

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have successfully completed an approved/recognized medical terminology course
  • The candidates should maintain a satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
  • The candidates should have Proof of a current office administration program and medical terminology

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide administrative support including minute-taking, mail distribution, typing from dictation, payroll, typing correspondence and reports, scheduling meetings, and telephone reception
  • The candidates should be able to act as a liaison between physicians, technologists, and clients
  • The candidates should be able to receive messages for physicians and technologists as well as clients relating to prescription orders and diagnostic test results
  • The candidates should be able to retrieve charts for departmental clinics and request charts from Health Records
  • The candidates should be able to direct clients to proper areas and ensure patient registration
  • The candidates should be able to handle other related duties as assigned
