Shifts: Day, Evening, Overtime, Morning
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Room and board provided, Urban area, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Employer’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Adults, Elderly, Females
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as part of their duties and be willing to work overtime as required by the job
- The candidates should be capable of handling weights between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs) when necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate dependability in fulfilling their duties and possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication
- The candidates should show initiative in problem-solving and taking on new tasks and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities and be reliable in meeting deadlines and commitments
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care with compassion and professionalism and administer medications accurately and in accordance with prescribed instructions
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene sensitively and respectfully and assist in regular exercise, such as walks, to promote physical well-being
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, managing tasks and duties efficiently and launder clothing and household linens with attention to detail and care
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized living environment and provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care tailored to the individual needs of clients and prepare and serve nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements and preferences
