Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact sensitively, respectfully, and in a non-judgmental manner to effectively resolve conflict with diverse stakeholders
- The candidates should have excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage high-volume caseloads and competing demands in a complex, fast-paced work environment
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently and exercise initiative within a multi-disciplinary team
- The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and a valid Full Class 5 Manitoba driver’s licence, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba for government business.

Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have case management experience in an integrated services environment, including brief counseling, assessments, service planning and coordination, resource development, and follow-up
- The candidates should have experience working with children with disabilities or vulnerable adults and their families, providing support tailored to the individual needs of participants
- The candidates should have experience conducting risk assessments with participants and their families
- The candidates should have experience in crisis intervention and protection services and effective verbal communication skills and strong written communication skills
- The candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications and the ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in French
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to participate in and often act as lead in a Service Coordination team, working with a wide array of social service agencies, including those associated with Health, Education, child welfare, private non-profit agencies, Justice, Employment and Income Assistance (EIA), and Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC)
- The candidates should be able to serve as a liaison between families, advocates, other government and community-based agencies, and individuals and use a family-centered and person-centered approach to deliver discipline-based services and intervention strategies with individuals and families
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and deliver support services, ensuring the delivery of protection services, support services, crisis management, and the Substitute Decision Making process as per The Vulnerable Persons Living with a Mental Disability Act
- The candidates should be able to assess, plan, implement, and monitor services on behalf of children, families, or vulnerable individuals
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with other professionals, advocate for program clients, and plan successful transitions to childcare, the school system, residential placements, and day activity programming
- The candidates should be able to counsel program clients and represent CLdS/CdS to other stakeholders, the community, and families and assist with issues caused by domestic violence, trauma, disability, abuse, mental and emotional challenges, loss, addiction, homelessness, and family breakdown
- The candidates should be able to develop the necessary supports and network of services that enable individuals to gain independence, reach their full potential, and strengthen their ability to function successfully
- The candidates should be able to have a positive impact on families, children, and clients’ lives, helping them overcome challenges and move forward
