Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should hold a two year post-secondary diploma in business administration
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of customer service and administrative experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a passion for promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe workplace and the ability to work respectfully and effectively in a team environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should an equivalent combination of education and experience and previous experience in a municipal, legal, and licensing administrative office environment
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering quality customer service
- The candidates should possess well-developed written and oral communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- The candidates should demonstrate a commitment to Reconciliation, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion
- The candidates should provide a Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check satisfactory to the City
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide general reception support by assisting with incoming visitors, telephone calls, mail, email, and routing inquiries to the appropriate team members
- The candidates should be able to support Investigating Officers and Clerks with the administration of tasks
- The candidates should be able to process payments for Penalty Notices and provide customers with information on the dispute resolution process
- The candidates should be able to intake new license and sign permit applications and payments efficiently
- The candidates should be able to arrange for printing and production of various documents, prepare distribution of mailings, order supplies, and maintain the office inventory
- The candidates should be able to attend virtual and in-person meetings, prepare and distribute agendas, and record meeting minutes accurately
- The candidates should be able to assist with various other MES administrative tasks and projects
- The candidates should be able to provide back-up support to other staff in the MES office when qualified
