Salary: $16.50 hourly for 40 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Halifax, NS
Shifts: Flexible Hours, To be determined

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint 
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure and have attention to detail.
  • The candidates should be available for overtime when required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate, organized, and a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to analyze the budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits, develop budgets for food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies, and modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • The candidates should be able to evaluate daily operations, monitor revenues to determine labor costs, and monitor staff performance
  • The candidates should be able to plan and organize daily operations, set staff work schedules, and conduct performance reviews
  • The candidates should be able to enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, and negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • The candidates should be able to participate in marketing plans and implementation, address customers’ complaints or concerns, and provide customer service
