Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should be university or community college student enrolled in a relevant program (such as Fine Arts, Art History, Art Education, Museum Studies, etc.), returning to full time study in September 2024
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be currently enrolled in their second or third year of post-secondary education
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work with children, youth, and adults of all ages in an art-making/interpretation setting
  • The candidates should possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills
  • The candidates should have experience and confidence using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel), web research, email, and experience using online social media platforms
  • The candidates should work independently or in a team environment, and as the successful candidate, you must clearly demonstrate an understanding of the dynamics to work effectively with the diverse public in a professional manner

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to greet children/parents at the beginning and end of each day
  • The candidates should be able to assist with supervision during the Summer School of the Arts day camp program
  • The candidates should be able to help students and instructors as needed
  • The candidates should be able to assist with program delivery when necessary
  • The candidates should be able to learn and review the permanent collection and exhibitions presently on view
  • The candidates should be able to support content generation and delivery of in-person activities for children and youth in the Gallery and in the community, including guided tours
  • The candidates should be able to assist with studio maintenance, restocking, and organization, and preparing materials for instructors
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the development of public education activities in the Gallery
