With a focus on providing a stimulating and supportive environment, Kinder Learning Centres offer comprehensive daycare and preschool programs for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. Supervision: 5-10 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Experience with special needs children: Children who are deaf or hard of hearing, Children with a mental health disability, Children with behavioural issues, Children with allergies, Children with asthma, and Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD)
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and in noisy environments, while adhering to a non-smoking policy
- The candidates should also be comfortable working in air-conditioned environments.
- The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks and should be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and possess manual dexterity for precise work
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and performing bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and exhibit dependability in their work
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral and written communication abilities
- The candidates should show flexibility in their approach to tasks and have interpersonal awareness
- The candidates should exercise good judgement and demonstrate reliability in their responsibilities
- The candidates should be team players who adhere to values and ethics, showcasing creativity and the ability to multitask effectively
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, as well as engage in storytelling activities
- They should also be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children’s development, and lead activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- Additionally, candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment, encourage children’s creativity through various media, and guide them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- They should observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, prepare reports for parents or supervisors, and discuss progress and problems at staff meetings
- Candidates should have knowledge about licensing regulations, establish guidelines for behavior, and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
- They should also plan and maintain an environment that protects children’s health, security, and well-being, organize activities for school-age children before and after school hours, and supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
