CRANES TRANSPORT based in Caledon, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Truck driver. CRANES TRANSPORT offers a range of transportation solutions, including trucking, intermodal, and warehousing services to customers across Canada. Our fleet of trucks is equipped with the latest technology to ensure that shipments are tracked and delivered on time and in good condition. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive taskers
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods
  • The candidates should be willing to for overtime
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and large workload

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be organized, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • The candidates should be able to oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, perform brake adjustments
  • The candidates should be able to perform emergency roadside repairs, perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, perform preventive maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • The candidates should be able to tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
