Salary: $23.00 hourly 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Surrey, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Overtime, Early Morning
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Room and board provided, and Work in employer’s/client’s home
Target audience: Elderly
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should also be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be open to overtime work when required
- The candidates must be non-smokers
- The candidates should be able to lift weights of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be organized and exhibit reliability
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care
- The candidates should assist in regular exercise, such as walking
- The candidates should assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder
- The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding
- The candidates should launder clothing and household linens
- The candidates should perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should shop for food and household supplies
