Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Experience with special needs children: Children with behavioural issues, Children with allergies, Children with asthma, and Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD)
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), and Child development worker (ECE level 2), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a noisy environment and be non-smokers, comfortable working in an air-conditioned setting, and prepared for repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding work and possess attention to detail, adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks, and demonstrate manual dexterity

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and exhibit dependability in their work, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and demonstrate excellent oral communication
  • The candidates should have excellent written communication skills, display flexibility in their approach to tasks, and possess interpersonal awareness
  • The candidates should demonstrate good judgment, show reliability in their work, and be team players, upholding values and ethics
  • The candidates should showcase creativity in problem-solving, exhibit honesty in their interactions, and have the ability to multitask effectively

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to engage in storytelling activities and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and assist in keeping records and encouraging children to express creativity
  • The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, guide and assist children in developing proper habits, and maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, and submit written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors
