Municipality of the County of Annapolis based in Royal, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Finance clerk. Municipality of the County of Annapolis is a local government organization dedicated to serving the residents and communities within its jurisdiction. Salary: $51,600 to $65,016 annually (To be negotiated) for 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 752 St. George Street Annapolis Royal, NS B0S 1A0
Work setting: Public sector, public corporation

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience in business administration and management, general, and accounting and finance
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Accounting, customs services
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Word, internet

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, conduct banking activities, and prepare income tax documents
  • The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns and prepare reports
