Shifts: Day, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours
Work setting: On-site customer service, relocation costs not covered by employer, and barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Blow drying, bleach, and streaking/highlights
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, possessing strong attention to detail
- The candidates should have hand-eye coordination skills and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, including the ability to stand for an extended period
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a client-focused approach and excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should be dependable, reliable, and exhibit flexibility as team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to book appointments and cut/trim hair according to the client’s instructions or preferences
- The candidates should be able to shampoo customers’ hair, shave and trim beards/mustaches, and provide hair treatments like waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages
- The candidates should be able to analyze hair and scalp conditions, offer basic treatment or beauty care advice, and apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses for coloring, frosting, or streaking hair
- The candidates should be able to cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair, suggesting hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features or based on their instructions/preferences
- The candidates should be able to maintain and order supplies
