Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Lift truck, Planting equipment, Tractor

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming
  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors at heights in potentially dangerous conditions
  • The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp, noisy, odorous, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated environments
  • The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads, which may be physically demanding
  • The candidates should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors and sounds
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk, with the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and engage in bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and exhibit flexibility in their approach to tasks
  • The candidates should demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and be highly organized
  • The candidates should be effective team players

Candidate Status:

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform brush collecting, clipping, grading, and hand harvesting vegetables
  • The candidates should be able to hoe crops, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, conduct vegetable culling, and perform weeding
  • The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, harvest crops, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry, as well as examine produce for quality and prepare it for the market
