Sunrite Greenhouses Ltd. specializes in the cultivation of a wide range of greenhouse-grown vegetables, including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and specialty varieties. We utilize state-of-the-art greenhouse technology, such as climate control systems and advanced irrigation methods, to create optimal growing conditions for our crops. Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
• The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination and distinguish between colours
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and large workload
• The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
• The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp area, in at heights, in hot area, and in cold/refrigerated area

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to do cleaning crop, clipping, deleafing, grading, greenhouse cleaning
• The candidates should be able to hand harvesting vegetables, lowering, mixing fertilizer, plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, suckering
• The candidates should be able to do tying, vertical farming system, weeding, fertilize and spray crops
• The candidates should be able to harvest crops, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare for market, transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
• The candidates should be able to report signs of insect or disease damage, assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants, apply fertilizers
• The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens, clean work area
