Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to stand or remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and willing to dress in appropriate uniform attire
- The candidates should have the ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in all weather conditions (sun, heat, wind, cold and rain)
- The candidates should be capable of lifting and carrying equipment and meet the minimum age requirement of 16 years
- The candidates should have sports or event coordination skills, teamwork, self-motivation, and adaptability are desired attributes
- The candidates should be available to work all 18 days of the fair (August 16 – September 2, 2024) and the two weeks prior
- The candidates should be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be reliable and responsible, fast learners, self-motivated and take initiative
- The candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision
- The candidates should possess strong communication and visitor care or customer service skills
- The candidates should be able to attend Mandatory Orientation Session and Job-Specific Training
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to remove covering tarps, rake or drag the infield and prepare the pitcher’s mound
- The candidates should be able to put down and touch up the chalk foul lines and the out-of-bounds lines
- The candidates should be able to put out the bases and prepare the scoreboard signage and prepare ice coolers and players’ drinks if available
- The candidates should be able to operate the scoreboard during games, retrieve foul balls and record pitch counts
- The candidates should be able to perform miscellaneous duties for the operation of the Ball Park program
