Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning
Target audience: Elderly and Persons with physical disabilities
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis and Room and board provided
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need hold a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on client needs and satisfaction and exhibit dependability in fulfilling their responsibilities
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues and be flexible in adapting to changing situations and requirements
- The candidates should show initiative in taking on tasks and solving problems and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be organized in their work approach and reliable in fulfilling their duties and commitments
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder and launder clothing and household linens
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care and prepare and serve nutritious meals
