Best Western Plus Merritt Hotel based in Merritt, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Hotel assistant manager. Best Western Plus Merritt Hotel offers a casual dining experience with a menu featuring classic pub fare and locally sourced ingredients. We also provides complimentary hot breakfast for all guests. We also offers a range of amenities and services, including a fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub, business center, and meeting and event spaces. We have implemented a range of initiatives to reduce its environmental impact, including energy-efficient lighting and water conservation measures. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus and flexible, reliable
  • The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations
  • The candidates should be able to supervise staff, enforce policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs
  • The candidates should be able to establish work schedules
