Air North, Yukon’s Airline based in Whitehorse, YT is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of HR Advisor. Air North, Yukon’s Airline is a regional. It provides scheduled passenger and cargo flights connecting Yukon to major cities and remote communities. It offers both charter and commercial services. The airline is known for its strong community ties and competitive regional presence, partly owned by the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shift: 35-40 hours per week
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should hold a university or college degree in Human Resources
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a solid foundation of applicable employment laws, Â demonstrate superior writing ability to effectively write, update, and control policies and other documentation
- The candidates should be able to comfortably, confidently, and effectively handle employee relations matters
- The candidates should have a thorough understanding of employment law, WCB, Human Rights legislation, and labour relations practices, be legally entitled to work in Canada
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess advanced interpersonal skills, with a commitment to discretion, ethical judgment, and maintaining confidentiality
- The candidates should have strong Excel and quantitative skills to run analyses and support data-driven decisions
- The candidates should show a strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that has been built with passengers, partners, and communities
- The candidates should have enthusiasm for contributing to the organization’s unique mission, whether through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
- The candidates should a related field, or have equivalent experience, possess CPHR certification
- The candidates should have previous experience with federally regulated organizations,  experience in a unionized setting and project management experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to regularly review, update, and create HR policies to reflect organizational and legal changes
- The candidates should be able to engage in employee and labor relations to foster a positive workplace environment
- The candidates should be able to partner with management to address and resolve workplace conflicts and grievances in a fair and timely manner
- The candidates should be able to submit accurate quantitative and qualitative reports on time
- The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with various regulations, including the Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations and the Legislated Employment Equity Program
- The candidates should be able to lead HR projects that enhance Air North’s employee value proposition and support broader organizational and departmental goals
- The candidates should be able to develop and provide training and coaching to managers and supervisors on HR best practices
