Salary: $16.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Credentials: Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), child development worker (ECE level 2), and First Aid Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers and develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote their development
- The candidates should be able to engage in storytelling, supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out developmental programs
- The candidates should be able to encourage children’s creativity through art, play, music, and physical activities and guide them in proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks, arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods, and observe children for signs of learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports as needed
- The candidates should be knowledgeable of licensing regulations, attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and problems, and establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain a secure environment for children’s well-being, organize activities for school-age children before and after school hours, and supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
