Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have certification in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- The candidates should have current completion of the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook, which is mandatory
- The candidates should be registered as a Registered Representative (RR) and comply with mandatory IIROC Continuing Education Program requirements
- The candidates should complete the WME within 30 months of obtaining the RR License and Mandarin language skills (preferred), and Cantonese language skills
- The candidates should possess specialized knowledge from education and business experience
- The candidates should have in-depth verbal and written communication skills, in-depth collaboration and team skills
- The candidates should have in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills and in-depth influence skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to partner with others to develop business relationships with existing clients and collaborate with internal partners to expand business relationships with existing clients
- The candidates should be able to schedule and help prepare client portfolio reviews, including setting up client calls, scheduling meetings, preparing reviews, and completing all required record-keeping
- The candidates should be able to contact clients to discuss and update investment objectives and risk tolerance, ensuring portfolios are rebalanced and escalate complex or unresolved client situations and complaints
- The candidates should be able to execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service and prepare financial plans for clients to meet common financial goals, such as retirement and provide appropriate advice regarding tax efficiency, legal implications, financial impacts, and fees involved or engage the appropriate partners and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives
- The candidates should be able to manage databases and provide support for analysis, forecasting, and data visualization, ensuring adherence to data governance standards and assist in creating new investment portfolios and identify necessary changes
- The candidates should be able to assess fees, determine overall household fees, and coordinate with internal partners as applicable and manage the efficient and effective operation of the support office, training new team members and branch support staff and develop business with clients or prospects using proactive selling and marketing techniques telemarketing, networking, seminars, community involvement
- The candidates should be able to explain and execute investment concepts, portfolio construction and management, and other wealth management strategies and support branch or team business objectives by identifying opportunities that optimize profitability, increase share of wallet, and improve client loyalty
- The candidates should be able to identify gaps, issues, and best practices by monitoring sales and service performance against plans and support the development and execution of the business strategy and business planning activities
- The candidates should be able to fulfill client sales and service activities in compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain the confidentiality of client and Bank information and adhere to internal risk mitigation policies and industry rules or regulations and focus on a business or group, think creatively and propose new solutions
- The candidates should be able to exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules and work mostly independently and take on broader work or accountabilities
