Salary: $40,000 to $50,000 annually (to be negotiated) 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 38038 Loggers Lane Squamish, BC V8B 0Z9
Work setting: Restaurant, Fine dining establishment
Supervision: 1 to 2 people, Kitchen and food service helpers

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work in hot area

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work as a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
  • The candidates should be able to estimate and order ingredients and supplies, ensure food service and quality control
  • The candidates should be able to maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, prepare food order summaries for chef
  • The candidates must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres
