Engineered Containment Inc. is a construction and product services organization that focuses on providing customers with geosynthetic containment solutions. We merge the science of geosynthetic containment with ancillary designs. As a firm with engineering design capability and COR (Certificate of Recognition), we not only practice the science of geosynthetic containment but also the science of safety. Salary: $23.00 to 25.00 hourly for 40 hours per 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: Edmonton, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning and Morning
Work setting: Staff accommodation is available, remote location and various locations
Work site environment: Candidates should work in dusty, cold/refrigerated, underground, confined spaces, outdoors and at heights
Security and safety: Criminal record should checked, driver’s validity licence should checked, bond required and drug test required
Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle required, valid driver’s licence required, own transportation required, vehicle supplied by employer, willing to travel, willing to travel regularly and travel expenses paid by employer
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Confined Space Entry Training, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Type of heavy equipment operated: Bobcats
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime, in fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, manually dexter and also maintain tight deadlines
- The candidate should be physically strong
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client and also in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Small front end loaders, Air compressors, Circular saws, Forklift and also Grinding machine
- The candidate should have specialization on construction like water mains, underground and tunnel work, pipelines and also industrial, commercial and institutional
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- The candidate should be able to load, unload and transport construction materials and also clean and pile salvaged materials
