Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of an Office Administration certificate
Experience: Candidates should have minimum one year experience working in an office setting

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be aware that flexible work options are available this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 6 months of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The candidates should have experience with ARCS and ORCS
  • The candidates should have experience with CLIFF and eApprovals and a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
  • The candidates who self identify as Indigenous First Nations, Métis and Inuit with the required combination of education and experience are encouraged to apply
  • The candidates should be able to understand that the Communicable Disease Prevention and Control (CDPC) Branch provides strategic leadership, expert advice and best practice guidance

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide administrative and clerical support to the CDPC Branch, including tasks such as scheduling, filing and managing correspondence
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the development and oversight of legislation, regulation, and policy related to communicable disease prevention and control
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate communication and collaboration with health system partners to ensure effective prevention and control measures
  • The candidates should be able to support public reporting, monitoring, analysis, and course correction for all aspects of communicable disease prevention and control, including vaccine preventable diseases, immunization services, novel pathogens, high-threat pathogens, sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBIs)
  • The candidates should be able to assist with infection prevention and control initiatives in healthcare settings and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship efforts
  • The candidates should be able to help ensure pandemic preparedness by providing administrative support for planning and response activities
