Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have university degree in business, marketing, finance, math, computer science, data analytics and visualization or related field
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5+ years experience in data analytics & insights, data governance, database marketing

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be passionate about data and possess the ability to learn about different data sources and subject areas to fulfill requirements
  • The candidates should be proficient in accessing and combining data across multiple sources to uncover insights and support various business initiatives, as well as address ad-hoc requests/questions from executives and other key stakeholders
  • The candidates should have experience with data visualization and data automation, which are highly desirable. They should also possess strong data storytelling capabilities by designing, developing, and implementing innovative analytical solutions
  • The candidates should aim to streamline and automate data procedures within the team to reduce manual processes and enhance overall efficiency
  • The candidates should contribute to managing the repository of all reporting assets, which includes developing scripts, documentation, user guides, process maps, etc.
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and technical delivery skills. Additionally, they should have a keen interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology skills
  • The candidates should exhibit strong technical skills in using various tools to query, extract, and manipulate data, including SQL and SAS. Additional experience in visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau is a must
  • The candidates should possess solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups to quickly establish credibility internally. They should be perceived as a partner to the business with deep expertise in analytics and reporting
  • The candidates should exhibit knowledge of Rogers Communications data and/or banking industry experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead, support, design, and create powerful reports, dashboards, or analysis using a variety of tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL etc) to help support fact-based decision making
  • The candidates should be able to support, build, and help manage internal data processes where needed
  • The candidates should be able to manage and coordinate requirements from multiple functional stakeholders, providing recurring communication and status updates, and implementing process improvements where needed
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with other cross-functional groups in support of delivering the required data needed to support fact-based decision making
  • The candidates should be able to provide consulting and best practices on the use of the data, participate and represent the Bank Data Analytics team in ongoing and new projects within Rogers Bank and/or RCI
  • The candidates should be able to engage partners – understand the business and anticipate needs; collaborate well
  • The candidates should be able to deliver quality – steer robust and meaningful outputs, with agility and attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to interrogate the status quo – challenge existing habits, ask why, and find a better way
  • The candidates should be able to influence and drive change – secure alignment across teams and leadership to ensure we are focusing on the right things, the right way
  • The candidates should be able to be enthusiastic – bring new and exciting modernization and superlative innovation to data and reporting
