Job Description:

Position: Medical secretary
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 25 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time
Location: Mississauga, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, On Call, Flexible Hours, Morning
Work setting: Clinic, relocation costs not covered by employer, willing to relocate, physician’s office

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Hind
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate attention to detail in all assigned tasks

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate accuracy in their work and possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication abilities and exhibit flexibility in adapting to various circumstances and requirements
  • The candidates should maintain organization in their work methods and responsibilities, demonstrate reliability in fulfilling their duties and commitments, and be team players fostering effective collaboration with colleagues

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interview patients to obtain case histories and schedule and confirm appointments
  • The candidates should be able to complete insurance and other claim forms and maintain a filing system
  • The candidates should be able to enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence, prepare spreadsheets and documents for review, and initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
