Stongs Market Limited Partnership based in North Vancouver, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Supermarket clerk. Stongs Market Limited Partnership is a full service retail grocery store, established in 1910 in Toronto by the Stong Brothers. We offer a wide selection of products – far more than your average grocery store. We carry all major national brands as well as an extensive selection of unique, gourmet, natural and organic products. We pride ourselves on being local and in turn support local suppliers large and small. We carry a huge selection of home-made salads, entrees, roast meats along with the highest quality sliced meats, salami’s and sausages and local and imported cheeses. Our Produce department offers the best in fresh fruits and vegetables including a great variety of organic, natural and ethnic choices. Whenever possible we support the local farmers buying direct. We also offers Stong’s Express, an on-line shopping service. We are known to provide satisfaction to our customers, that they don’t have to go to any one else after getting the best services from us. Shifts: Day, Weekend, Evening and Morning
Work Setting: Dairy department, produce department, frozen foods department and supermarket or grocery store
Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery
- The candidate should be able to carry customer’s purchases to parking lot and pack orders in customers’ vehicles
- The candidate should be able to obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom
- The candidate should be able to operate computer for electronic commerce transactions
- The candidate should be able to operate cash register
- The candidate should be able to order picking
- The candidate should be able to provide customer service
