Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French  Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Quality assurance or control, Trucking, Shipping line, Delivery, Security, Tow truck
Computer and technology knowledge: Dispatch management service software, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Word processing software, Spreadsheet, Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, Internet, Electronic mail, MS Office
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to establish work schedules and procedures, coordinate activities with other work units or departments, and prepare and submit reports
  • The candidates should be able to arrange for maintenance and repair work, resolve work-related problems, and train workers in duties and policies
  • The candidates should be able to conduct performance reviews, coordinate, assign, and review work, and plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization
  • The candidates should be able to record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses, receive requests for emergency assistance or service, and prepare and maintain progress and other reports
  • The candidates should be able to perform routine clerical duties, operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment, and monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments
  • The candidates should be able to monitor production progress, maintain work records and logs, and ensure the proper functioning of equipment
  • The candidates should be able to compile worksheets and specifications of orders, coordinate activities with warehouse and production units, and assist with the maintenance of communications equipment
  • The candidates should be able to perform general office duties, schedule assignments, and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to handle wake-up calls, keep track of shipments, and follow up on issues with work orders
  • The candidates should be able to organize warehouse and work areas, create, investigate, track, and complete work orders, and maintain vehicle operator work records
