World Wide Furniture Limited based in Halifax, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Salesperson, furniture and appliances – retail. World Wide Furniture Limited is providing special local fabric and leather furniture. We have a wide range of beds, sofa beds, corner sofa beds, sofas etc. Leading the past into the future with furniture that never goes out of fashion and quality that never goes out of date. We are a family run company who cuts out the middle man to give the customer items at a cut cost price! The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $40,000 to $70,000 annually (to be negotiated) 37.5 hours per week

Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: The candidates should have own transport, public transport is also available
Work setting: Urban area, Furniture store
Type of product: Appliances, Furniture and house furnishings

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Candidates should have clear criminal records

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be goal-oriented, hardworking, proactive, positive attitude, flexible, dependable, and have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide advice about merchandise, assist in display of merchandise
  • The candidates should be able to estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates
  • The candidates should be able to greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease
  • The candidates should be able to maintain sales records for inventory control
  • The candidates should be able to prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease
