Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 7+ years in Database Engineering and Storage (SAN, NAS)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel, both internally and externally leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and agencies
  • The candidates should have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • The candidates should work closely and collaboratively with Internal Engineering, Deployment, and Operations teams to drive design adoption across IT
  • The candidates should have the ability to transfer knowledge to fellow team members and the ability to make engineering design decisions, efficiently build solutions, solve technical problems, and improve systems

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have expertise in Unix/Linux coupled with knowledge of various cryptographic and encryption technologies and standards (Symmetric/Asymmetric cryptography)
  • The candidates should have experience with either CipherTrust Manager and HSMs and a minimum of 7+ years in an engineering role in DB and storage teams, with expertise in Linux in a large enterprise environment
  • The candidates should have experience certifying the encryption on various storage technologies (Databases, Storage, and applications)
  • The candidates should have in-depth knowledge of various security controls and a proven track record of successful implementations in a large enterprise
  • The candidates should have strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to understand and work with Vormetric (now part of Thales) CipherTrust as a platform for Data at Rest Encryption, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data by encrypting it when it is stored on devices
  • The candidates should be able to manage and protect cryptographic keys using Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), including those from Thales, Entrust, and Utimaco Attala, to ensure robust data protection and cryptographic operations in high-security environments
  • The candidates should be able to utilize Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to manage digital keys and certificates, enabling secure communication through encryption and digital signatures, while relying on trusted certificate authorities for secure data exchange
