Resorts of the Canadian Rockies operates premier ski and mountain resorts. It provides skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking activities. The company manages renowned resorts like Fernie Alpine and Kicking Horse, offering exceptional facilities and customer service. Employment Type: Seasonal/Full Time
Location: Golden, BC, CA
Shift: 6 unpaid hours, Mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a first aid certificate
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience with bus shuttling or transportation
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to withstand brief exposure to extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, cold and heat) in a mountain environment
- The candidates should have worked in a customer service role
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a Class 4 driver’s license and familiar with operating a 2-way radio
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure the safety of passengers while operating a 22-passenger bus
- The candidates should be able to shuttle employees between town and resort and assist staff with loading and unloading bikes
- The candidates should be able to maintain a professional and polite demeanor with passengers at all times
- The candidates should be able to inspect the vehicle to ensure it is functioning correctly at the beginning and end of every shift
- The candidates should be able to follow all traffic laws and posted speed limits, even if it means arriving late to the destination
- The candidates should be able to be an advocate for health and safety, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- The candidates should be able to work a split shift which requires early mornings and evenings, with approximately 6 unpaid hours in between shifts
- The candidates should be able to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, in extreme weather conditions on the resort
