Salary: $20.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, and Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent written communication skills and should be flexible

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to establish and implement operational procedures for the housekeeping department
  • The candidates should be able to select and purchase equipment and supplies
  • The candidates should be able to plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate the inspection of assigned areas and supervise staff
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate contract services and ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met
  • The candidates should be able to maintain financial records, prepare budgets and payrolls, and coordinate maintenance and repair services
  • The candidates should be able to conduct performance evaluations and appraisals and maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • The candidates should be able to supervise in-house laundry services and coordinate in-house laundry services
  • The candidates should be able to schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff and ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out
  • The candidates should be able to ensure hospital infection control, hire and dismiss staff, and respond to complaints of guests
