Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience in a customer service role preferably a rental or retail establishment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work for extended periods in harsh weather conditions, including cold, wind, heat, and altitude
- The candidates should have sufficient strength, physical condition, and stamina to conduct mountain bike lessons for extended periods of time
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to ensure an excellent guest experience across various programs, demonstrating athleticism, passion, and strong communication skills
- The candidates should hold a PMBIA Level 1 or equivalent PMBIA Level 2 or 3 would be ideal
- The candidates should have advanced downhill mountain bike skills
- The candidates should be outgoing with excellent communication skills
- The candidates should be passionate about instructing and creating a safe and engaging learning environment
- The candidates should have passion and enthusiasm for mountain culture & biking, and the resort environment
- The candidates should have previous sales experience and use of Point of Sale (POS) applications
- The candidates should have cash handling experience
- The candidates should have completed a criminal background check
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver professional instruction on mountain biking to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all students and guests
- The candidates should be able to foster a professional and supportive environment for fellow instructors and resort staff
- The candidates should be able to assist guests in sizing and fitting appropriate mountain biking equipment while prioritizing comfort and safety
- The candidates should be able to ensure guest safety by completing waivers for all rentals and providing instruction on the safe use of rental equipment
- The candidates should be able to maintain a consistently friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with customers
- The candidates should be able to handle cash transactions, including cash balancing, coin orders, and opening and closing duties
- The candidates should be able to clean gear, bikes, and maintain organization in the store
- The candidates should be able to sell retail products in-store, such as clothing, bike parts, and other items
- The candidates should be able to work flexible shifts with varying hours, adapting to factors like weather and visitation levels
- The candidates should be able to engage in daily team meetings, training sessions, communications necessary to provide a high-quality experience for resort guests
