Salary: $26.83 hourly for 1 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Casual employment Part time leading to full time

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own vehicle, vehicle supplied by employer, valid driver’s licence, and travel expenses
Work setting: Group home, work in employer’s/client’s home, various locations, social service or charity agency, and private residence
Target audience: persons with an intellectual disability, persons with learning disabilities, persons with mental health disabilities, and persons with physical disabilities
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: Developmental services worker (DSW) Training, Mandt System training, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, driving record check (abstract), medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be knowledgeable about socio-economic needs or conditions such as housing, nutrition, unemployment, and financial assistance
- The candidates should have experience with programs dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure, as well as handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate, have efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate interpersonal awareness, demonstrate judgment, uphold values and ethics
- The candidates should have a client focus, have excellent written communication skills, demonstrate flexibility
- The candidates should show initiative, be team players, and be organized
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform administrative and office activities, appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, assess clients’ relevant skill strengths and development needs
- The candidates should be able to perform housekeeping activities, engage in food preparation, provide suicide and crisis intervention
- The candidates should be able to resolve conflict situations, supervise activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses, implement behavior management programs
- The candidates should be able to liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs, assist clients/guests with special needs
- The candidates should be able to accompany clients to appointments and social outings
