Salary: $19.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: White Rock, BC
Shifts: To be determined, 09:00 to 17:00
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license, Public transportation is available, and Own transportation
Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer
Type of operation: Grinding, Mixing, Blending, Bottling, and Packaging

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and and should have attention to detail
  • The candidates should have hand-eye coordination
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate machinery to process and bag, box, or otherwise package food products
  • The candidates should be able to perform corrective machine adjustments and record production information
  • The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas and inform the supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities and make adjustments to process variables
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a shift log of production and other data
  • The candidates should be able to set up and adjust processing and packaging machines
  • The candidates should be able to check products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards
