Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a high school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of industry experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should meet Air Canada’s medical standards due to the safety-critical nature of the work; this includes a medical evaluation and drug and alcohol testing, requiring freedom from intoxicating substances
- The candidates should obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations as per Transport Canada regulations; details are available on the Transport Canada site
- The candidates should be legally eligible to work in the country at the time of employment and are responsible for securing any necessary work permits or visas and endorsements on Air Canada aircraft types and ideally have a current security clearance
- The candidates should be able to pass a pre-employment qualifying exam, physical assessment, and security check
- The candidates should be available to work night shifts, with flexibility for evenings, days, weekends, and holidays; note that the night shift is the default position, subject to change with seniority
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program, possess a valid Transport Canada AME M2 or M1 license and a valid driver’s license
- The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain an airside vehicle operator’s permit and possess a restricted radio operator’s permit (aviation)

- The candidates should be able to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting
